Look Who's Rollin'!

I am so proud of Laura!

I'm also terrified. We have a mover on our hands. Time to baby-proof the house!

A Relaxing Weekend

I had a very frustrating commute home on Friday. I usually get home around 6:15. On Friday, I got home at 8:45! Trains... But I couldn't be too frustrated, because I received a warm welcome home by a house full of friends. We hosted a fun little BBQ, complete with babies and dogs.

Sunday night, Laura experienced her first taste of solid foods! Rice cereal!

Here are the before and after pictures:

She seemed to enjoy it, and even swallowed a little!

The Master of Museum Studies

I graduated this past weekend!
Well, I walked at the graduation at least!  I have one more class to finish, and will officially have my Masters of the Arts in Museum Studies.  Laura celebrated the occassion with me - as was appropriate!  She took four classes with me!  It might sound corny, but I am really proud of myself for getting this degree.

So far, 2010 has been a pretty fantastic year!

Congrats Grads!

Laura sends her congratulations to her Aunt Maria and Uncle Andy!  They both graduated in the last two weeks!  We weren't able to attend Maria's graduation two weeks ago, but were able to celebrate with Andy this past weekend.
Since Maria's in Peru on her next adventure, we'll have to photoshop her into this great family picture.  We had a great time with Andy and his friends...

And were very excited to be able to watch a fantastic Penguins game at a bar in Pittsburgh, surrounded by fellow Pens fans!  LET'S GO PENS!

May Day!

Happy May!
Traditionally, I would have spent May 1st making May Baskets out of old ice cream containers and tissue paper.  My mom and sister did, and had a great time.  I wish I could have been up North with them making baskets, rather than trekking into work on a Saturday morning, baby in tow!

Yup, Laura and I spent a lovely weekend morning at work.  Which wasn't as productive as I'd hoped it might be.  It turns out that three-month-olds really like attention, and don't like sharing Mommy with old files.

But after we finished working, Laura and I did get to have some fun!  We met Mommy's friend for a picnic!  It was such a lovely afternoon, the three of us wound up lounging in some grassy shade near the Capitol for two hours.  And I have to thank Guzel for the fun photoshoot.  Isn't this picture just precious?!
